Your real age is just a number.

Hello. I came across this yesterday as I was wandering around the BBC website, so for a bit of fun, I am posting it here. BBC1 has a new programme called How to Stay Young, presented by Dr Chris van Tulleken and Angela Ripon. There are lifestyle questions to answer and the results will show the difference between your real age and your biological age. The content is for general information only, and should not be treated as a substitute for the medical advice of your doctor or other health care professional.

You don't have to sign up for anything, it's a short quiz which takes a couple of minutes. It's up to you how you answer the questions, I was completely honest, and heaved a sigh of relief with the result. My real age is 66, and my biological age, according to the quiz is 47. All this does for me is confirm that I am going in the right direction, and to continue my lifestyle as it is to give me a good chance of a few more years. At some point the aging process will catch up with everyone, but I believe there is a lot we can do for ourselves to slow up the process.

If you do the quiz and find your results are not looking too good you can then take steps to improve matters. All it is for is to give food for thought, to evaluate your lifestyle, and make any changes you see fit. Of course you have the option of ignoring this whole post and carrying on as you are, your choice, but it could be the kick start you need to tweak your lifestyle, dump the negative parts, and take a more optimistic path.

Take the Test : What's my real age?

I went on to watch the programme afterwards, and found it quite useful. I need to eat more nuts, I do eat them every day, but not enough. I need to eat more beans. Vegan is the healthiest diet on the planet but I am not ready to take that leap yet, but I must cut down on my cheese consumption. Dancing is better exercise than gym, it uses more muscles. I don't do gym apart from my cross trainer, but I must dance around the house more. I always feel daft dancing with other people, so at home is best for me, there will be more music in my house from now on.

Right, here is a video to get you all dancing. Get up off your bum and dance around with the Flash Dancers at Antwerp Train Station. This is exactly what we should all be doing, are you going to join in? Close your curtains if you don't want anyone to see you, ha ha.

It's a nice day outside so I might get a bit done in the garden today. Thanks for popping in, have a nice weekend. We'll catch up soon.
