A snapshot of Beverley

Hello. Tis sunny here again this Sunday morning. I was thinking I might go to the car boot sale for a bimble, but I overslept. Not like me at all, I don't know what happened but it was 8.20am when I woke up, YIKES, that's half the day gone. Not to worry, I didn't actually need anything. It's just that it's next to Tesco and I have a voucher to spend which runs out today. Plan 'B' is to go this afternoon at about 3pm, in the hope that there might be some yellow stickers to be had. In the meantime I shall potter around here and get a few jobs done. My friend Barry is out today so I have to go and let his dog Scruff out for a pee, and feed him at 12.30pm.
So, what did we do after the Lavender Field, and Wetwang chips. We stopped off at Beverley. A posh market town with olde worlde buildings and a nice Minster. An easy place to park is at Westwood near the Racecourse, a large parkland where the cows roam free. It's up to the motorists to avoid them. There is a four hour limit with no charges, plenty of time to walk to town and back.

Walking into town you go down a street called North Bar Without. There are a few timber framed houses around here. Pubs and shops also.

Once through this archway you are in North Bar Within.
Next to the archway is this magnificent building, and it's for sale. Looks lovely doesn't it. I've found it on Right Move, was only added last month, so you're in with a chance if you are interested. Price on application, but I reckon a couple of million. For a tour of the inside take a look here, it's like walking round a stately home. Not an ideal location on the corner of a busy road, but I reckon I could put up with it, ha ha.

St Mary's church is not far away near the Market Square.
Then we walked through the town to the other end to take a look at Beverley Minster. I have photographed this before, somewhere on this blog. A side view of the tower.

Rocky is happy being pushed around, he's done enough walking for one day.

We were a bit late back home, and we were all ready for some food, kitties as well. Rocky scoffed his with gusto as usual, he has a good appetite. I couldn't be bothered to cook for myself so I had a frozen portion of home made veg curry with a slice of seeded bread.

I'm off outside now, it's sunny. Make the most of it. Thanks for popping in.
Toodle pip
PS. I'm working on a new page for the Summerhouse, from start to finish, and I've registered an interest with the Shed of the Year 2016. Not that I expect to get anywhere, they get hundreds of entries.
